Photo of the week

undefined I have been working on gathering some images for the Western Michigan Fair board to be used in some upcoming publications. As I went through my archives I found shots I really like. They include pictures of the lights of the rides shining in the dark, tractor pulls, demolition derbies and many other activities. But, this is the shot that stands out. I think when it comes down to it, this is what the fair is all about — the kids. The Western Michigan Fair is held in late July at the Mason County Fairgrounds in Ludington.

Family business

undefined Meet the Brown family. They are owners of RTS Trailer Sales near Pentwater (they sell and repair recreational trailers and RVs). We had the honor of photographing the Browns this fall at their home. They wanted the portrait created because their youngest daughter, Laura, is in her senior year of high school. This is a great time in a family’s life story to create a portrait. The family had their wall portrait beautifully framed at the Artists Market in Ludington.

We also photographed Laura’s senior portraits.

Thank you Brown family. We appreciate your business!

21-0

My niece Jennifer plays on the Manistee Catholic Central girls varsity basketball team. This is also her senior year. Tonight, Catholic defeated Brethren in the first round of district tournaments, 50-42. Here is a sequence of Jennifer making a basket. They’ll play again Friday night for the district finals. Also, they were not only the conference champs, but they are also 21-0 in the season!

New and improved website

Welcome to our new and improved website. I have started to lose track how many times alwayphotography.com has been upgraded. In the beginning, back in 1999, I designed this site from scratch using Microsoft Front Page. Over the years it has evolved to meet the latest trends of Internet users. A few years ago we introduced our blog to the site, which was located at a different address. Today, we have launched our new and improved site with an integrated blog. We hope you enjoy it!

The Class of 2011

We love photographing high school seniors. It is such a great point in a young person’s life. Soon these young men and women will be graduating and moving into a new chapter in their lives. We believe this is a great opportunity to express who you are and also to create a timeless portrait. Here is a sampling of some of the many wonderful senior clients we had this past.

By the way, we are starting to get inquiries for this summer. Make sure you book your session early so you can chose the best appointment time!
