Morgan; Ludington High School senior pictures

In the world of photography, not everything is as it seems. Morgan is a high school senior at Ludington High School. She was on the cross-country team, which took up a good chunk of her fall. By the time the season got done, the temperatures dropped. However, she wanted some outdoor pictures, including the beach. So, on a brisk fall day we headed outdoors and created some wonderful pictures around Ludington, including beach pictures. Though the temperatures were in the upper ’40s, Morgan was a trooper and did great. Us Michigan people are just pretty tough when it comes to the weather!

Little beach lover – Ludington photography

Life on the beach is a fact of life for the residents of our area, here in beautiful Ludington. We like to teach our young ones how to appreciate the beach at a young age. Little Lauren had her 1-year-old pictures taken recently. We also got to photograph the rest of her mom and dad for their first family photograph. Lauren loved crawling around on the beach.

Vacationing in Paradise, aka Michigan’s west coast. Pentwater family photography

Erin and Patrick say they like to take a vacation near Lake Michigan every year. But this year the southeast Michigan family discovered Paradise, the shores near Pentwater and Ludington. A family vacation is a wonderful way to create memories, investing in a family photograph is the way to preserve those memories for years to come.

Long-time friends – Ludington Family Pictures

Recently I had the chance to photograph a long-time friend and her family. I have known Marci since we were both in about first grade — that’s many many years ago. She grew up in Scottville and moved away after high school, landing in the Atlanta, Georgia area. She and her husband Tim and their children try to make it back to the Ludington and Scottville area every year. This year, the top priority was family pictures on the Ludington beach. We had a rough week, though, because there was rain every day of their vacation.

Thanks to their willingness to be flexible in their schedule, we were able to find a short window of opportunity one morning when the sun wasn’t too bright.
